Busy day today. Picked up Angel Food, went to the grocery store, picked up a prescription, stopped at the post office, did A LOT of laundry, dishes, and miscellaneous cleaning up. What is sooo exciting about that? I did it ALONE. The Daddy took all four kids to do some tree trimming and wood cutting at my sister's house. I didn't get any help, but I didn't have the whining and easily distracted kids around while I was trying to get something accomplished.
Woo Hoo! Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.
Most of the time I like having the kids around. Most of the time I don't mind the company while running errands, most of the time I can find joy in the banter that always accompanies the four little people that are my pride and joy....but every once in a while....I enjoy the solitude, the quiet, the change of pace. I am thankful that my husband is also an AWESOME Daddy to our four kids. LOOOOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On other things, I took A to the doctor last night. She has had a bug bite of some sort on her wrist since before Christmas. It just wouldn't heal. It never got really bad, it just wouldn't go away like most bug bites do. We figured it was some kind of spider bite. It itched, it was a little puffy, pink and had a rash around it. We treated it topically and watched it. Finally, I caved. It seemed to being getting slightly better, but not enough. I called Wednesday and made an appointment for Friday. Wouldn't you know it, it started to heal up. By the time we made it to our appointment it looked great! Oh, well. Better safe than sorry, right? We will treat with 2% hydro cortisone cream and she will be as good as new. Of course, prior to our doctors visit, Grandma had the poor child worried that she might have Mersa. Don't know if Grandma watching all of these medical shows is always a good thing, HAHAHA.
So....here is to an uneventful, relaxing, weekend full of family time and getting much accomplished.
